The Quintet was formed in early 2010 with a group of ‘seasoned’ brass band musicians.  Based in south Manchester near Stockport, the Festival Brass Quintet has been created featuring five experienced players from a top level brass band background.  They have entertained audiences on the brass band concert and contest platforms from the BBC Radio 2 Studio in Manchester to the Royal Albert Hall in London.  These players have formed a special small brass ensemble to perform a varied programme of classical and light concert music.

We continue to build a comprehensive repertoire to cover a diverse form of musical styles, and are seeking to develop a programme with the best of the old and some of the new directions in live brass performance.
